Volumetric Concrete
Volumetric Concrete

Six Counties Concrete believe that our customers should only pay for what they have used. The unique ability to pour the exact amount of concrete on site makes volumetric concrete the favourable way to get your concrete delivered. We can organise and arrange this service for your project.

Quick and Clean
Quick and Clean

We have access to state of the art, fully automated Mobile Volumetric Trucks with the capacity to carry 6.5 or 8.5 metres cube per truck within local companies that are capable of mixing concrete as required saving expense and excess. The vehicle carries separate materials (limestone, sand and cement) and mixes the required quantity on site. This is a quick and clean method of supplying concrete and the mobile batching plant has the capability to mix up to 1m³ of concrete per minute depending on the mix.

Floor Screed
Floor Screeds

Liquid floor screeds are delivered to exact order measurements and on site via prior arrangement with a nationwide UK supplier. This gives our clients the flexibility to plan and complete preparation work within a given timeframe ready for the pump.

Health & Safety

Risks from contact with wet concrete

Our advice

Wet concrete and screed are strong alkalis. Contact with skin or the eyes may cause serious burns and ulceration or an acute allergic reaction in some people. Suitable clothing including impervious gloves, long sleeves, eye protection and boots are essential. In the event of eye contact wash immediately with plenty of water and seek urgent medical attention.

Risks from equipment

Our advice

All equipment and even hand tools can present a risk if used incorrectly. People can be under increased pressure to finish quickly as the concrete sets so it is always worth ensuring everyone understands the operating instructions before the job starts and their job roles.

The pump has several mechanical parts and only the trained operator is allowed on the pump. The flexible rubber pipe must always be kept straight when working of the end of the boom or at the end of a ground line, if it becomes kinked all personnel should move out of the area as it is liable to kick as the pressure builds up, which may result in injury.

There is a potential for trip hazards with the pipeline layed out.
